Exercice 2

This qwork focuses on emotions that lie unexpressed by people in everyday life. However, rather than capturing them through little receipts that people leave behind, this piece focuses on the emotions revealed through facial expressions.

We are constantly surrounded by people messaging on their phones. They are absorbed by the effortful task of translating feelings and experiences into words. While some emotions do manage to find matching words, others don't and are manifest through facial expressions.

Exercice 2 invites viewers to link people who might communicate with each other based on their facial expressions.

Taking close-up photos of people messaging on their phones was a tricky and intrusive venture. I figured out that dressing up strangely made people more acceptant of getting photographed.
